A great way to downsize to meet your needs is to look at our cupcake tower option which combines the best of both worlds. With a cupcake stand, you have the option for a cake topper and cupcakes!

Below is a recent example where we took the top tier of our garden themed topsy turvy cake and used it as inspiration for the cupcake topper.

Veena contacted us to create a first birthday cake for her daughter. She was throwing a spring themed birthday party with a color palette of pink, green, lilac and yellow.

Using the top tier of our garden themed 1st birthday cake, we created this cupcake tower. The topper is decorated with celadon green fondant and lime green grass, stems, and pink gerber daisies.

A hot pink glittery rolled ’1′ stands at the top of the tier along with ladybugs, bees and butterflies. Forty chocolate and vanilla cupcakes were included with vanilla buttercream dyed celadon and pink to coordinate with the party’s colors.

Light Blue First Communion Cake

This cake was inspired by our cabbage rose bouquet wedding cake created several years ago.

The cake is decorated with light blue fondant and white bands. A bouquet of pink cabbage roses with a white bow and cascading tails decorates the middle tier. A light blue cross lays flat at the top of the tier.

Flavors and fillings included chocolate with oreos and cream buttercream and vanilla with oreos and cream buttercream.

Light pink and blue cross cookies inspired by the cookies included in this christening cake and cupcake collection were included along with the cake.

Pink and White First Communication Cake

Spring has arrived and that means first communions! Our very own Nicole’s niece Alexa celebrated her communion a few weekends ago in Mendham, NJ. The cake we created for the celebration was inspired by a christening cake from last year.

The cake is highlighted with a bow looped cross on the top tier, white damask print and rose pink fondant (which appears a little peach colored in these pictures).

Purse and Gift Box Bat Mitzvah

Jessica and Lee reached out to us to help design a cake for their daughter Emily’s Bat Mitzvah celebration this past weekend at the Loading Dock in Stamford CT.

For inspiration we started with Gabby’s fashion themed Bat Mitzvah cake and personalized it for Emily. Colors included were pink, orange and white to coordinate with Emily’s color theme.

The top tier includes a pink satchel handbag with two dogs peeking out. The handbag includes a tangerine orange handle with a thick white stripe across the bottom. The next tier is fashioned after a hat box which think fuschia and white stripes and open white lid. Emily’s name is written in blue across the face of the tier.

The final tier, shaped in a gift box form, is decorated in tangerine orange with white stripes. Favors and fillings included alternating chocolate and vanilla cake with chocolate buttercream.

Congratulations Emily – we hope you and your family enjoyed the cake!

Cherry Blossom Wedding Cake

With all the cherry blossoms blooming, it’s the perfect time of year to celebrate with a cherry blossom inspired wedding cake! This 3 tier cake is covered in celadon green with cascading white blossoms. Each tier also includes swirly patterned blossoms and small piped dots.

Super Mario Bros Cake for Jimmy Fallon

So apparently Jimmy Fallon is a big Nintendo fan and is especially fond of Super Mario Bros. In light of the recent announcement that Jimmy will be taking over for Jay Leno’s Tonight Show, the folks at Nintendo commissioned us to create this Super Mario Bros cake that they delivered to Rockerfeller Center in NYC.

The cake was two tiers and for obvious reasons the star at the top was the focal point of the cake. The top tier included a sculpted Mario in his famous mid-jump pose. Both the top and bottom scenes included scenes reminiscent of the original Super Mario Bros with Goombas, gold coins, a red super mushroom and a piranha plant.

The entire cake included alternating layers of chocolate and vanilla cake with chocolate and vanilla buttercream.

We’ve been fortunate to work with Nintendo on a few cakes through the years. Way back in 2009, Nintendo reached out to us for the launch of Nintendo DS and commissioned us to create several Nintendo DS cakes. Following that cake, in 2010 Nintendo reached out to use to create Super Mario Bros 25th Anniversary cake.

We are thrilled to have had multiple opportunities to work with such an iconic brand and hope Jimmy enjoyed his cake!

Noah’s Bar Mitzvah Soccer Themed Cake

Noah celebrated his Bar Mitzvah this past weekend with this soccer themed Bar Mitzvah cake. The cake was inspired our popular basketball Bar Mitzvah cake from 2011.

The top tier includes a sculpted soccer ball which sits atop a tier representing the soccer net. The next tier was covered in denim blue fondant to match the color of the invitation. Noah’s logo for the celebration sits at the center of the tier along with a lime green stripe.

Cake Pops

The final tier includes multi-colored stripes in white, black gray and lime green. A lime green noodle wraps around the base of the tier. Flavors and fillings included red velvet with chocolate buttercream and blue velvet with vanilla buttercream.

Along with the cake we included 45 chocolate cake pops dipped in white chocolate and drizzled with coordinating colors to match the cake. Each cake pop was placed in bags and matching ribbons.

Sea Turtle Bat Mitzvah Cake

This past weekend we created this 3 tier cake for a Bat Mitzvah celebration at the Maplewood Country Club in NJ. The celebration’s theme was “under the sea” so it was only appropriate that we created this sea themed cake for the event.

The topsy turvy cake is covered in pale blue fondant with a cute sea turtle swimming against the second tier of the cake. The top of the cake includes colored bubbles flowing up from the cake.

The cake board is decorated with ivory seashells and brown sugar sand. Blue fondant noodles at the base of the tier round out the ocean theme.

Flavors and fillings included chocolate with raspberry chambord and red velvet with raspberry chambord and vanilla Italian merignue.

Light Coral Hydrangea Bridal Shower Cake

Janet reached to us last year to collaborate on a cake for her daughter’s bridal shower. She loved our blush pink anniversary topper cake and also liked the pearl accents from this wedding cake.

We combined elements of both cakes to create this two tier round cake for the shower. The cake is infused with light coral colors and white peonies with some blush touches. Green stems, resembling the topper, are climbing up the top tier.

The bottom tier includes accented pearls mimicking the style of the peony pearl wedding cake. A single peony with green leaves sits at the base of the tier. Pewter bands decorate the base of each tier.

Flavors and fillings included carrot cake with cream cheese and pink champagne cake with cannoli and chips.
